Villa Hammam
Turkish Bath

In villa projects, a mini SPA consisting of at least one outdoor or indoor pool, sauna, steam room or Turkish bath is now a must for villa projects. In our Diyarbakır project, an hamam has also been included in the project.
Hamam is a type of bath that is traditionally used in Turkish culture and was found in homes in ancient times. But hamams offer more than just a bath. The duration of bathing in a hamam is much longer than a bath and includes various rituals. For example, "keselenme (rubbing)", "lying on the göbek tasi (navel stone)". More importantly, hamams have also been established as commercial enterprises and have become meeting points for people.
Today, although hamams are made for individual purposes, they are mostly preferred in hotels and social facilities. The interior of a Turkish bath consists of several rooms with different temperatures and purposes. These rooms have a high temperature and humidity that softens the skin, opens the pores and releases toxins. Then, dead skin is removed with a rubbing from the navel stone, which is a raised platform for a deep massage. Turkish baths are generally made with special stones extracted in Türkiye. The walls and columns contain various decorations. There are usually tile motifs behind the bathing bowls called kurna. In our Diyarbakir project, such a traditional Turkish Bath was built in a private Villa SPA area.
